Family Ministries

Family Ministries support a wide range of mid-week programme and activities within Salvation Army corps and centres.

Our pages contain information relating to many of these programmes and outlines resources which are currently available. From Baby Song through to ministry to seniors – we endeavour to provide resources and/or contacts to make our midweek communities engaging for all ages.

A real challenge to worshipping communities within The Salvation Army and other churches throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland is an acknowledgement that we have more people through our doors midweek than on Sundays.  The Kingdom-need is to use these opportunities as a soft opening to introduce people to our Christian faith. Our aim as a Unit is to resource, support and inspire engaging ways to provide ‘Christian community’ for all ages.

In the Family Ministries Unit we work hard to build relationships, carry out research and provide relevant resources. Our aim is to encourage and inspire local communities to engage with intentional midweek activities that will ‘introduce people to Jesus’.
