Stowmarket

Church

Our motto is : "Love God, Love Others".

We are a Bible believing church that wants to fulfil the great commission of Jesus

Matthew 28:18-19 says, 'Jesus drew near and said to them, "I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.  Go then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And I will be with you always, to the end of the age." Tesco, Asda, The Works, Café on the Rec and Hays Travel

Last collection date is Friday 5th December. (Any toys after this time will be kept for our 2026 appeal).

Please note we can only accept NEW toys. Unfortunately, we do not have any storage or a charity shop in Stowmarket to be able to take them. The nearest Salvation Army Charity Shops are in Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury.

In 2026, Stowmarket Salvation Army will be celebrating 140 years of serving in our community.

One Body is a brand-new resource in The Salvation Army to help people explore how faith, sport and community can come together in transformative ways.

Through inspiring stories, practical teaching, and ready to use discussion questions, One Body will help lead people into a deeper understanding of what it means to live a life for Jesus through sport....it's a way for people to discover that Jesus isn't confined to four walls, his Kingdom is coming on beaches, in boxing gyms and on recreation grounds across the UK and Ireland (and so many other areas!).

This is one of the videos that has been created demonstrating a model of best practice at the Café on the Rec in Stowmarket.  Others show Surf Church in St Ives and Boxing Gym in York.

Please call us if you want to find out more.
