Trusts and Foundations

Why give to The Salvation Army?

Without the generous support of Charitable Trusts and Foundations, The Salvation Army would not be able to carry out the life-changing work we do every day. We are active in more than 580 communities across the UK, offering practical help and compassionate support to some of the most vulnerable people in society. From providing emergency accommodation and food support to tackling loneliness, helping people into employment, and supporting families in crisis, your funding enables us to be there, wherever and whenever we are needed most.

‘Without The Salvation Army, I would be struggling so much more. They have helped me a lot over the years. I’ve tried other charities, and they made me feel uncomfortable, but The Salvation Army welcomes people, there’s no awkwardness and you do not feel ashamed here.’

Your support matters.

We are deeply grateful for the support we receive from Trusts and Foundations. We like to ensure that every trust and foundation feels truly valued and knows the impact of their support.

Your partnership makes a real difference, and we are committed to showing you just how powerful that difference is by:

  • Providing regular updates on projects to show the impact of
    your donation.
  • Arranging visits, wherever possible, so that you can see the life changing work that is made possible with your donation.
  • Inviting you to local and national events so you can meet staff and volunteers and celebrate our successes with us.

  • Empowering people through employment, training and volunteering opportunities that build confidence and independence.
  • Offering safe accommodation and specialist support for survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking.
  • Helping young people thrive by providing youth clubs, music groups, and mentoring programmes.

Our team

Our dedicated Trust Team is here to manage the relationships between our Trusts and Foundations and The Salvation Army. With team members located across the UK, we are able to work closely with funders in a more personal and responsive way.
