The Salvation Army in Weston-Super-Mare is inviting the community to a free guitar concert headlining a guitar group from Logos House, a Salvation Army supported housing service in Bristol, for individuals who have experienced homelessness and are rebuilding their lives. The guitar group is a resident-led initiative.

The concert that takes place on Wednesday, 29 July 2026, at 1:30 PM at The Salvation Army Hall on Carlton Street, represents a beautiful connection between two communities, showcasing the power of music as a tool for expression, relaxation, and building supportive relationships. No bookings needed.

Major Peter Beeldman, leader of The Salvation Army in Weston-Super-Mare, who has also served as a chaplain at Logos House said;

“This concert reflects The Salvation Army's core values of community, inclusion, and support. The guitar group from Logos House is strumming not just strings, but new beginnings, and we want the people of Weston-Super-Mare to hear that sound of hope. There is so much more to The Salvation Army than people realise; we are a place where healing happens through connection, through creativity, and yes – through the simple, beautiful act of making music together on a sunny afternoon by the sea.”

Major Peter hopes the community will embrace the opportunity. He says the concert aims to bring together a wide group of people from different walks of life in a welcoming and uplifting environment.

“The concert is a great opportunity for people to enjoy a nice time together for an after-lunch concert. It's a time to enjoy music, but also to support people who want to take steps in life to change the direction of their path.”

The venue is accessible for people with mobility challenges. The hall has space for up to 60 people, with the option to add more chairs if needed. Paid parking is available at the car park next door and across the street.
