Songster Leader Dorothy Nancekievill
Dorothy was appointed leader of the ISS in 2003. She finds the tole to be a great privilege and responsibility.
She grew up in Glasgow, Scotland, and attended Paisley, Parkhead and Govan Corps (churches). Dorothy studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Glasgow University. Postgraduate study subsequently bringing her to the South-West of England and Bristol Easton Corps. She currenlty attends Bromley Temple Corps.
In January 2015, Dorothy was appointed the Head of Farringtons School in Chislehurst, Kent, having previously been the Director of Music at Wells Cathedral School where she worked with many of the best young musicians and teachers from around the world.
Her work with young people includes being part of Salvation Army music schools in the UK and the Western, Eastern and Southern Territories in the United States.
Dorothy is married to Gary and they have two sons, Matthew and David.
Executive Officer Lieut-Colonel Paul Main
The ISS is delighted to be supported by Paul, who is one of the senior leaders of The Salvation Army in our territory. As Personnel Secretary his work includes looking after employees, active and retired officers, UK officers appointed overseas, counselling services and safeguarding.
Paul's been a Salvation Army officer for 31 years, serving the first 14 years as a corps officer at Liverpool Clubmoor, Connah’s Quay, Douglas Isle of Man and Wrexham.
He also served for 16 years as Divisional Director for Evangelism in South and Mid Wales, as Territorial Evangelism Secretary, and as Divisional Commander in Central South Division.
Paul is married to Jenine who is Divisional Commander of The Salvation Army's North London Division. The couple have two married children, Rebecca and Cameron, who attend Peterborough Citadel and Bromley Temple respectively.
Paul attends Regent Hall Corps, enjoys walking, gardening and Cadburys chocolate.
