Nxt Gen is a youth group for those from the age of 11 upwards who meet every 3 weeks on a Sunday or Saturday.  We take part in a range of activities such as bowling, crazy golf, games afternoons etc. usually with food.  One of the regular activities is our Youth Cell when we look at some Bible teaching and our faith.  If you would like to know more please contact us by email at hove@salvationarmy.org.uk for the attention of Lyl.

We keep our prices low in order to bless the community around us.  We also have a hot drinks machine (all drinks £1) and a small seating area.

Hove Salvation Army are keen to support those in need practically with food parcels, sleeping bags and other items, and signpost those who need additional help to other groups and agencies in the area.

Our Food Bank is open every Friday to help those who are struggling with the provision of basic food items and toiletries.

We have a small forecourt at our Conway Street entrance which we like to reserve for drivers with mobility issues.  But there's free parking available to us courtesy of Custom Pharmaceuticals just 100yds back along the road (turn south by Jewsons).

Shortly after exiting the station and walking south you will find a set of steps on the right, leading westwards onto Conway Street; Hove Salvation Army is at the far end of the road.  See you in about ten minutes!

The ‘Coleridge Street’ stop on the 5, 5A &5B routes bring you to our Sackville Road entrance, a flight of stairs on the eastern side of the street (by the phone box) will bring you up to our Conway Street entrance.

Open Day

On Saturday 3rd May Hove Corps held an Open Day. Lots of local residents joined us, many for the first time, and enjoyed refreshments.  They also had the opportunity to listen to the band or watch some videos about the work of the Salvation Army and local activities.  The history corner was very popular, some took part in a treasure hunt, had a tour of the building and played games.  The hall was full of chatter as people relaxed and spent time with one another and members of the Corps.

VE 80 Celebrations

Hove band joined Brighton Congress Hall band to be part of the VE 80 Celebrations at the  Brighton & Hove Peace Statue.  The bands provided music before the service at 9pm and accompanied the hymns.  After the lighting of the beacon the band then concluded with the traditional song of Sussex by the Sea.

Christmas Toy Appeal

Last years Christmas Toy Appeal organised by The Salvation Army in Brighton and Hove supported over 600 children.  We are extremely grateful to all those businesses, nursing homes, schools and individuals who supported the appeal by donating toys and games.

Wall of Poppies

In 2023 our Corps Secretary Roger Wolstencroft had a vision on Remembrance Day of a wall of poppies outside our Church.  He asked Valerie and her knitting group if they would make this a reality for 2024.  With their help the poppy wall was completed and put on display.
