Virtual Response Cycle
Why cycle for #TeamSallyArmy?
The Salvation Army’s 650 churches and community centres are responding to the current covid crisis in multiple ways: from running food banks and checking up on people who live alone, to offering counselling and support to those currently experiencing homelessness, and those hardest hit by the pandemic, Salvation Army churches all over the country work with some of the most vulnerable people in society.
Here are some examples of what your support could do:
£20 - could help us keep our food banks stocked and open so we can provide essentials to people in need.
£45 - could provide 1 hour of support work for 5 homeless people in one of our residential centres (Lifehouses).
£114 - could meet the cost of an officer for 3 days so they can distribute takeaway meals and provide support for vulnerable people
What distance is the run?
It's up to you! Choose your distance to cycle – be it 50 miles, 100 miles, 300 miles over a weekend or something else, and set up a JustGiving page here so that your family and friends can sponsor you.
