Whitehaven Toy appeal 2025
The Salvation Army in Whitehaven has for many years worked with local Social Services and other statutory services to supply needy families with both food vouchers and toys for Christmas. Preparations are already being made to ensure that the most vulnerable families can be supported again this year.
The Salvation Army in Whitehaven are looking to assist families by providing gifts and food vouchers. Therefore, we would ask that members of the public either supply toys or financial donations in order that we can purchase toys/gifts/food vouchers.
The toys should be new and unwrapped and be for children from babies to those reaching the age of twelve. For older children we will provide families with gift vouchers to allow parents / guardians to purchase suitable presents. Toys and donations can be dropped off at The Salvation Army on Catherine Street during our opening hours.
Between 1st and 30th November 2025 donations of new toys can be dropped off at the Entertainer shop in Workington. These will be collected by a member of our team and used locally. For each gift donated Entertainer will donate a further gift to The Salvation Army to be distributed to centres throughout the country.
