Why march for Team Sally Army?

With 650 churches and community centres, The Salvation Army offers practical help, friendship and support to some of the most disadvantaged people across the UK and Republic of Ireland. Throughout history, The Salvation Army has consistently been at the forefront of relief efforts when tragedy strikes, and the response throughout the pandemic and beyond proves no different. Now more than ever we need support from our valued fundraisers to ensure that those who are most marginalised receive assistance. 

How far will I have to march?

Choose your own distance – be it 5K, 10K, a half marathon or something else, and set up a JustGiving page so that your family and friends can sponsor you as you march to transform lives.

Here are some examples of what your support could do:

£20 could help us keep our food banks stocked and open so we can provide essentials to people in need.

£45 could provide 1 hour of support work for 5 homeless people in one of our residential centres (Lifehouses).

£114 could meet the cost of an officer for 3 days so they can distribute takeaway meals and provide support for vulnerable people.

All fundraisers will receive a virtual medal and our top 5 fundraisers will receive a #TeamSallyArmy T-shirt*

Where will my fundraising go?

Funds raised though your incredible efforts can go towards any Salvation Army project OR Salvation Army Church close to your heart - you can find your local Corps by entering your postcode in this map. Just send us an email at challenge@salvationarmy.org.uk once you sign up, let us know where you would like your fundraising to go and we will happily arrange that for you.
