Strawberry Field Liverpool

Church

Strawberry Field is an award-winning visitor attraction located on the site of a former Salvation Army children’s home. As a child, John Lennon would seek solace in its gardens, an experience that would later inspire The Beatles hit song ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’ and make Strawberry Field a household name.

Strawberry Field has been in the care of The Salvation Army since the 1930s serving as both a place of spiritual reflection and a sanctuary for vulnerable young people. Today, that legacy lives on through The Salvation Army’s redevelopment of the site, giving young people with barriers to employment in Liverpool the opportunity to thrive, while honouring the place that inspired John Lennon.
