The Salvation Army is a charity close to Holly’s heart. After the passing of her nan in July 2016, she decided to devote her time to train and fundraise to brave the cold conditions at Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England.
“Nanny Nora as I knew her was like a second mum to me. Always cooking, smiling and driving like an absolute lunatic until her late 70s! Sadly, Nan passed in July 2016 when I was abroad. Ever since, I've wanted to complete a challenging hike and raise some money for The Salvation Army, who ran her care home. The Salvation Army are a charity that helps to transform lives in every community. This included making sure that my nan's final year was spent living as independently as she could, whilst remaining safe and happy.
Sasha and I tackled Scafell Pike (the highest mountain in England) in a freezing cold November with a few locals and raised a smashing £558.70!”
