In a ceremony on the 8th of December, the Salvation Army’s Welsh Divisional Mission Enabler, Major Steven Wilson, accepted the presents from Jake Richards, Laura Hathaway and Zaya Mears from Which? (pictured). They will be distributed to local children in Cardiff and the surrounding area.

Which?, who have offices in London and Cardiff, wanted to support the Present Appeal and help ensure that no child is left without a gift to open on Christmas morning.

The Salvation Army’s Welsh Divisional Relationship Manager, Davina Bailey, said: “We really appreciate this generous donation from the staff at Which?. It makes a huge difference to families without the means to buy presents for their children to know they won’t miss out on Christmas.

“This has been a really difficult year economically for increasing numbers of people who are struggling to make ends meet. We are seeing more people than ever coming to our local churches and asking for help.

“Having these toys is great and we are happy to pass on a heartfelt thank you to the team at Which?”

Fran Hudd, the Which? Head of Member Services, said:

“We were delighted to work with the Salvation Army on their Present Appeal. Through the work that we do for UK consumers, we understand the pressures so many families are facing this year and we wanted to do our part to help more children have a smile on their faces this Christmas.”

If you would like to donate to The Salvation Army Present Appeal in Cardiff, please drop off new and unwrapped toys at: The Salvation Army, Aberthaw Road, Ely, Cardiff, CF5 4HB open Monday to Friday 9.30am to 2.30pm.
