Euro 2025: The Stage is Set

Download guide

The UEFA Women's EURO 2025 is set to be an exhilarating tournament, taking place in Switzerland from July 2 to July 27. This tournament will feature 16 of Europe's top international teams, competing across eight venues in cities such as Zurich, Basel, and Geneva.

Will England’s Lionesses triumph as they did in 2023 or will we see footballing giants Spain, Germany or The Netherlands crowned champions? Could newcomers Wales, who will make their first ever appearance at a major tournament, achieve the unthinkable? Join us for every goal as Euro 2025 excites and inspires this summer. Women’s football has been at the forefront of promoting inclusion and diversity, showcasing the sport’s power to break down barriers and inspire future generations.

In 2025, The Salvation Army celebrates 160 years since founders Catherine and William Booth started reaching out to people in the most need on the streets of London. Ever since, we have been at the forefront of promoting inclusion and equality for women and girls across the UK, Ireland and beyond.

As we celebrate the achievements and resilience of female athletes on the field, it's essential to acknowledge the challenges women face off the pitch.

A family for Nicola in times of trouble

Your support helps people like Nicola: “My ex was extremely violent and controlling and I am lucky to be here. When the children started to be on the brunt end of that too, it was enough for me.

The perpetrator stays but as the victim, you have to leave your friends, family and belongings and go with just the clothes on your back. It’s hideous.”

Nicola chanced upon The Salvation Army when she took her children to Messy Play.

“I didn’t know The Salvation Army and on the off chance I saw a poster and started coming, not knowing what to expect. What I found was that people met me where I was.”
Nicola, supported by The Salvation Army

Nicola has received ongoing support from The Salvation Army and says:  “I have been in situations I haven’t been able to deal with and they come along and lifted the weight off my shoulders”. From support with buying food to assistance with bills and school uniform, as well as Christmas gifts, Nicola has been able to turn to The Salvation Army the numerous times that life has felt unmanageable. “The Salvation Army is one of the most accepting places I’ve ever been.”
