What is the Alpha course?

At the 10 week Alpha afternoon/evening we share a meal together followed by a series of interactive talks & discussions that allows guests to freely explore the basics of the Christian faith.

No pressure! No follow up! No charge!

Current Community Activities

Tuesdays:

Food Bank: 10am - 12.30pm

Cafe: 10am - 1pm

Charity Shop: 10am - 1pm 

Wednesdays:

Rainbow Tots: 9:30-11am (STARTING 14TH MAY)

The Foodbank is currently only open on Tuesdays between 10.00am & 12.30om (*Please note we are currently not open for Foodbank on Thursdays)

The Foodbank is open Tuesdays 10.00 - 12.30pm Working alongside our partners the Durham Christian Partnership and Trussell Trust we provide Food parcels to support people in our community who need a helping hand when times are tough. To access food bank you will need an e-voucher from a support agency you are working with (e.g. social services, health visitors etc.) or you can speak to someone at Citizens Advice.

Once you a have your slip bring it along with some I.D. and you can access a food parcel.

When?   Refreshments from 3:30pm and chance to meet and catch up!

Our time of worship (gathering/service) starts at 4pm every week.

Where? The Salvation Army, Queen Street, Crook, DL15 8QQ

What?  Our Sunday services are relaxed and welcoming for everyone. You'll experience uplifting sung worship and an inspiring message from the Bible. There's no pressure – you can join in as much or as little as you're comfortable with. We invite you to come along and see for yourself!

As a Christian church, we also offer support for life’s significant moments, including Weddings, Funerals, and Dedication ceremonies. We'd love to be a part of your journey.
