Chalk Farm

11 am - Sunday Worship.   We hold a weekly Christian service including prayer, worship and the opening of God's word.  Our act of worship is open to all and followed with a light fellowship lunch for those who wish to stay.   

Monday 

6.00 pm - 8.00 pm Homeless Drop In 

Providing respite from life on the streets; a hot meal, shower facility; free Wi-Fi; essential items and advice. 

Tuesday

10.00 am - 12 noon Advice Service 

Our drop in advice service specialises in employability including for those of the homeless community.  We are also able to give benefits and tenancy advice..  We are also able to issue  Trussell Trust Food Bank Vouchers at this service for those legible.  

Wednesday 

6.00 pm - 8.00 pm Homeless Drop In

Thursday

10.00 am - Coffee Morning

Drop in for some light refreshment

12.30 pm -  Seniors Lunch Club

Just £4 for a 2 course meal, tea/coffee

2.00 pm  - Come And Meet Each Other (CAMEO) Club

An informal club with singing, a speaker with a Christian message and activities

Please not that the C4WS Friday Club has now moved to Holborn House Community Centre, 35 Emerald Street, London, WC1N 3QW and takes place each Wednesday, 10.45 am - 1.30 pm for soup, sandwiches, refreshments and showers run by C4WS Homeless Project.

You can of course also give directly at our Chalk Farm branch using our card reader machine; donate cash or by cheque made payable to:  'The Salvation Army'. 

For those wishing to donate practical items please note we do not have a charity shop at Chalk Farm Salvation Army but we are able to accept donations of new items to aid our work with the homeless such as pants; socks; toiletries for our shower facility; tooth paste;; new sleeping bags; hats; gloves; new and second hand men's clothing (not suits) and trainers / shoes.   We also accept donations of non-perishable food.   We also accept new unwrapped toys toward our Be A Star Christmas Present Appeal.  Thank you for your support.  

In order to support our charitable work we hire out some of our rooms.   For room booking enquiries please e-mail:  chalk.farm.corps@salvationarmy.org.uk or call our office:  020 7485 1605.  Anyone wishing to hire our rooms must fall within the ethos of The Salvation Army and sign our Licence Agreement.  

Our 'Be A Star Christmas Present Appeal' helps to provide children with toys at Christmas who might otherwise be without.   Please send completed forms to  ‘Christmas Present Appeal’, The Salvation Army, 10-16 Haverstock Hill, Camden, London, NW3 2BL or return by e-mail: Christmas1865@outlook.com    For queries we have a dedicated Christmas Present Appeal phone number 07355419860.   Please note that we support families within the Chalk Farm Corps district and will not accept duplicate applications made to other Salvation Army centres.   Forms are to be counter signed by a school, social worker or health care professional.  

Our Christmas Day Meal is an opportunity for those in the local area who would otherwise be alone at Christmas to come and share Christmas Lunch and fellowship.   The lunch begins at 12.30 pm (arrival is from 11.30 am onwards). There will be opportunity for some fun and we will also have a short carol service after lunch at 2 pm.  Due to demand and to ensure we have adequate catering we request people book a space in advance  Please send the completed form to:  ‘Christmas Day’ The Salvation Army, 10-16 Haverstock Hill, Camden, London, NW3 2BL or e-mail:  chalk.farm.corps@salvationarmy.org.uk
