1.30pm every Sunday in the chapel.

While those who facilitate the meetings are positively Christian we encourage people to explore faith and their own understanding of God.

Our meetings will be interactive with time to praise God, pray, share with others, listen to some Christian teaching with discussion.

Recovery church is first and foremost an accepting and inclusive environment where everyone is welcome to come just as they are with all of their faults and failings, their faith and doubts, their gratitude and questions to explore spirituality in recovery. Aims of the fellowship are to support our recovery, grow our faith and develop community.

We ask you to come with an open mind. We value and respect everyone within the group as everyone, whatever their issues or background, is a valuable human being made in the image of God. It is this identity that we often look to explore and understand as a fellowship. Those still using substances are welcome as any to attend but should be respectful of others and therefore not be under the influence of substances or alcohol.

A big aspect of our church life is the opportunity for sharing, and all are very accepting of where-ever someone is in their spiritual journey. When somebody is sharing we listen respectfully to their opinions and views without interruption. We follow a similar confidentiality to mutual aid fellowship groups asking that what is shared in the group stays in the group. The only exception is when someone threatens to injure themselves or someone else.

This is a recovery group led by Christians, you don’t have to be a Christian to attend; we only ask the same respect and openness toward Christianity by anyone who joins us,  that we extend to every participant. Our approach is to allow people to explore what it means to believe, to find and secure faith in God. To find peace and serenity. It is not our intent to tell you what to do but rather support you ‘to have life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10). Your spiritual journey is between you and God.
