The Salvation Army works with some of the most vulnerable people in society. As we face the worst public health crisis in our lifetime, people on the margins need us now more than ever.
From running food banks and checking up on people who live alone, to offering counselling and supporting NHS isolation units, Salvation Army churches all over the country are responding to the crisis in dozens of different ways.
Here in Preston, we are one of the City's main food bank providers, helping to ensure that no-one goes hungry.
Donations of non-perishable food and toiletries can be left on the trolleys outside our entrance Monday to Friday 10am to 1pm.
Collection trolleys can also be found after the checkouts in Morrisons (the Docks) or Sainsburys (Deepdale)
If you are in need of food, please first ask for a referral from Citizens Advice, Welfare Benefits, Health Visitor and other support agencies. If it is your first time requiring support, if you are unable to access a referral elsewhere, please contact us directly.
Following the easing of restrictions, both shops are now re-opened.
