Take care and stay safe God Bless you
Due to the latest lockdown there are no Sunday meetings at the hall. This decision will be reviewed in February and so a Sunday Pause for Though phone in will be held at 9--15am using the details below to phone in,
You will also still be able to phone in and listen to the meeting. Telephone 08001696475, Ext 2790938 then pressHash key #
The hall will be open from 10:00am on the Sunday morning. We are going to be putting a booking system in place so that we can control numbers.
The service will be for 45mintues
If you wish to attend the Sunday service you must book your place by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. This should be done in the week preceding each meeting. Please do not feel put off by this extra precaution as we only have a set number of seats available.
It is important I emphasise that if you are displaying symptoms of Covid-19 DO NOT attend worship. The main symptoms are as follows:
a high temperature
a new, continuous cough
a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste
Things are going to look quite different when we come together on the 13 December. Here is what to expect
Masks will need to be worn as soon as you enter the building and throughout the service, unless you are exempt for medical reasons, or speaking from the rostrum.
Please sanitise your hands as you enter the worship hall. Hand sanitiser will be provided.
You will be asked to register your attendance either by using the NHS track and trace QR code on display or leave your name and contact details on the pad provided. These details will be retained for 3 weeks before being shredded and destroyed.
There will be no collection plate being handed around in the service due to maintaining social distancing and the possibility of spreading germs by all touching the same objects. Therefore, a stationary collection plate will be at the exit for you to put your offering into as you leave.
There will be no singing.
Seats are not to be moved. They have been measured out precisely so that there is a 2 meters distance between each household.
Social distancing must always be maintained before, during and after the service. Social interaction should be reserved for outside the building where social distancing should be maintained.
There will be no Corps books such as Bibles or songbooks available, only the powerpoint display. You may bring your own, if you wish, but must take them home after the service. They must only be shared amongst your own household bubble.
There will be no tea or coffee after the service.
The rooms available are the YP worship hall, the toilets on that floor, and the foyer area. Please do not go into any other parts of the building except for the rooms listed above. Band members will be able access to band room
As you enter the building you should go straight to the YP worship hall. Please observe the one-way system: into the hall by the door opposite the toilets and leave by the other door at the back of the hall. Returning to the entrance back down the stairs, which will have been cleaned during the service.
After the service the hall will be cleaned ready for next week and/or the next planned activity.
We do have to put a note in here about discouraging the attendance of over 70’s as they are more vulnerable to the virus, but this does not mean if you are in this age-group that you cannot attend.
Every Sunday there is a Pause for Thought available on the phone.
The meeting runs from 9-15 am to 9-30 am
Simply telephone 0800 1696 475 (free number) then when prompted for extension enter 2790938 and press #. you will then be connected to the meeting normally led by Major Robert Elliott
