The Salvation Army launches bridalwear studio in Glenrothes

published on 30 Jan 2017

The Salvation Army in Glenrothes is set to launch a bridalwear studio this Saturday (February 4).   The church and charity has a selection of over 50 brand new and preloved dresses as well as a large selection of accessories and outfits to suit all members of the wedding party.

To celebrate the launch of the studio, envoy Jacqueline Robertson, leader of The Salvation Army in the town, is inviting local residents to come along for the grand unveiling from 10am.

All profits from the studio will directly fund the charity's work in supporting vulnerable people across Glenrothes.

Jacqueline said: “The idea behind the studio is to give women the chance to wear a wedding dress they might not have been able to afford otherwise.   “I am so excited to launch our new bridalwear studio. Some of the dresses that have been donated to us are brand new, ex-display and even designer. Every single one of them is unique and stunning.

"The studio could also be for those who would like to get creative by taking a second-hand dress and making it their own. Either way, hopefully we will have the perfect dress for everyone.

"We have dresses from sizes 8 to 22, bridesmaid dresses, groomswear, shoes, hats and accessories, and even prom dresses.   "I'd like to say a massive thank you to Stunning Bridal studio in Burntisland for donating most of the dresses, shoes and other accessories we have on display. Their support has been crucial in helping us bring the idea for the studio to reality."

The Salvation Army's bridalwear studio is located next to its furniture warehouse at 5 Bankhead Ave, Glenrothes, KY7 6JG and is open to the public from Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm. For more information or to arrange an appointment to try on dresses, call the team on 01592 771577.
