Free student brunch at Salvation Army's Nottingham WBMH
published on 3 Oct 2025
Free food, good vibes, and a space to chill – The Salvation Army in Nottingham is inviting students from NTU and UoN to its brand-new ‘Breakfast-Style’ Brunch, running every Wednesday from 8 October to 19 November 2025 at William Booth Memorial Halls (WBMH) on King Edward Street.
The weekly brunch, served from 11:00am to 12:30pm, is completely free with a valid student ID and offers a continental-style spread, including vegan options. There’s also free Wi-Fi, comfy seating, and plenty of space to catch up with friends or take a breather between lectures.
Organisers say the brunch is about more than food – it’s about community. Student life can be exciting but also overwhelming, especially when adjusting to a new city, finding your people, or balancing study and social life.
The church leader at The Salvation Army WBMH, Robert Jepson said:
“We are serving our community this way to ensure students who have moved away from home have a supportive place of wellbeing too.
“Uni life can feel overwhelming. This brunch is our way of saying: grab a plate, pull up a chair, and just be. Whether you need a quiet spot, a chat with someone new, or simply some decent food without spending a penny, you’re always welcome here.”
The brunch setting is designed to be a safe, friendly, and relaxed environment where students can find encouragement, connection, and maybe even a new friend or two – all while fuelling up for the day ahead.
