Organisers say the events are much more than just entertainment—they’re about creating safe, welcoming spaces where everyone belongs.
Lee Highton-Nicholls, leader of The Salvation Army in Willenhall and Darlaston said, “We know that loneliness, particularly among older people, is a growing concern in our communities. These events are a chance to come together and remind each other that we’re not alone. Whether you’re a family with young children, an older adult looking for connections, or someone who feels vulnerable—this is your space too. We welcome everyone with open arms.”
These gatherings reflect The Salvation Army’s ongoing commitment to building strong, inclusive communities through music, care, and companionship.
The Salvation Army in Darlaston offers a welcoming space throughout the week with a variety of activities including community meals, parent-and-toddler groups, music sessions, faith-based gatherings, and support services for those facing hardship.
