Darlaston toddlers set to go OWT in the park
published on 8 Aug 2025
It’s time for the little ones to pop on their wellies and grab their favourite grown-up, because The Salvation Army Darlaston Community Church is heading OWTdoors for a fun-filled morning of nature play and discovery!
On Wednesday 13 August, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, toddlers and their carers are invited to George Rose Park Bandstand for Get OWT! – short for Outside With Toddlers. Little explorers can go wild with playful activities in the fresh air, from scavenger hunts to simple crafts, splashing in puddles or just running through the grass.
The event is designed to let children play freely while parents and carers enjoy a relaxed and welcoming space to connect with others.
Claire Highton-Nicholls, Corps Leader and Divisional Children’s Worker at The Salvation Army Darlaston, said: “Children don’t need much to have big adventures, just some space, some imagination, and someone to share it with. Get OWT! is a lovely way for families to enjoy the outdoors together, meet new friends and make special memories.”
All activities are free and no booking is required. Just turn up, play, and enjoy!
