The Salvation Army’s Cumbernauld Corps, will feature in an exciting new six part series on BBC Alba (8:30 – 9:00pm) starting on Friday 10th January entitled ‘The Minister’s Wife’.

The programme will follow the busy lives of Salvation Army officer couple, Captains Jo and Stephen Moir and their two daughters, Grace (10) and Erin (7).

Captain Jo Moir, explains,

“When the BBC approached The Salvation Army to take part, the title of the programme was an interesting one! As a Salvation Army officer, my husband Stephen and I are both ordained ministers, it was exciting to be part of, but our hope is that by agreeing to be filmed in our day to day lives that it will give an accurate natural reflection of the great work that God is doing in Cumbernauld through our practical ministry.”

She continued,

“It is an observational documentary and we did have a film crew shadow us for several months, it’s an honest piece, we are not the perfect family, we are just ourselves.  It was also an opportunity to let the public see what goes on behind the scenes of a busy community church we simply could not do what we do without the valuable help and support of our army of dedicated volunteers.”
