Blood and Fire brass cabaret brings live music experience to Derby

Music lovers in Derby are invited to experience an evening of bold sound and vibrant entertainment as the Blood & Fire Brass Cabaret comes to town this May.
On Saturday 9 May 2026 at 7pm, The Salvation Army on Osmaston Road will be transformed into a lively cabaret setting, showcasing the powerful and uplifting sound of brass music in a fresh, engaging format. Blending tradition with a cabaret twist, the event promises an unforgettable night filled with rhythm, warmth and community spirit.
Guests can expect a dynamic programme that celebrates the rich heritage of brass music while delivering a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. A buffet will also be available, adding to the social feel of the evening.
Tickets are priced at just Β£6, making it an accessible night out for families, friends and anyone curious to experience something a little different. Monies made from the event will go into helping fund Summer Music School for children.
Gary Robb, leader at the Derby Central Salvation Army said: βThis is not your typical brass band concert. We want people to come along, feel at ease, enjoy great music and good food, and leave with a real sense of connection and joy. It is about bringing the community together through something uplifting and memorable.β
The initiative reflects The Salvation Armyβs ongoing commitment to supporting wellbeing, tackling isolation, and building stronger communities through accessible and compassionate local initiatives.
