Mother’s Day is a special time to remember the wonderful women who cared for us throughout our lives. 

By giving in memory to The Salvation Army this Mother’s Day, you can celebrate your mum or someone who’s been like a mother to you. And you can make that care and compassion live on, touching the lives of people who are facing hardship and making a difference to those who are most vulnerable.

Thanks to donations from people like you, we were able to help Sarah – who needed someone to turn to after she became homeless following the death of her mother. We were able to offer her a room and a warm welcome at Malachi House, our Lifehouse in Basildon.

Sarah found real comfort and care from the Project Manager Tracie. As she told us, ‘No one is ever going to replace my mum, but Tracie is a motherly figure, and I feel like she has been sent to me because I’m missing that.’
