This year, Warrington Borough Council has set up a Homeless Commission to review the current need and provision of homelessness services in Warrington. The Commission pointed out that "services that take into account the psychological and emotional needs of people are key to preventing and ending homelessness." James Lee House is seen to be significant in these plans, with a new contract being issued for a minimum of two years. Work and training undertaken on offering a person-centred approach to support work greatly helped this decision.
Vast efforts have been made by the staff team to improve the participation of the public of the work undertaken with service users. Increased multi-agency practices enhanced the referral and allocation procedure and improved work has been undertaken with those suffering from alcohol abuse, identified as one of Warrington's greatest problems.
