Horden Christmas Appeal

Toy Appeal ūüéĀ 2021

This year after the effects of Covid-19 we are seeing more demand with referrals to our toy appeal than ever before in Horden. The toy appeal is our annual drive to provide Christmas presents to children and teenagers in the East Durham area; young people who would not normally receive anything on Christmas due to poverty in the area. As well as this, we can also provide families with food parcels over the festive period and continue to do this all year round.

Thanks to your support last year we were able to give over 500 kids more than one present to open on Christmas day. This year we're starting early as we expect to see a larger number of families in need.

As per usual, we are accepting donations of new toys and present to give to kids and food to keep the food parcel bank stocked up. We have donation bins within Peterlee that can be found below...

With the great success of the Amazon wish lists last year; you are once again able to donate a new toy or gift from the comfort of your sofa. We have a range of Amazon wish lists for different ages in which you can buy a present online and have it delivered to us. This can also be used to give you inspiration for things you can donate. These links can be found below...

If you wish to make a monetary donation you can now do this online by clicking the link to our Just Giving Christmas appeal page to support the work of you're local Salvation Army in Horden.

If you have any questions at all or wish to drop off a donation at our centre directly,¬†please don't hesitate to contact us.ūüďě.¬†Thank you all for your support in your community once again and have a Merry Christmas. ūüéĄūüéÖ

Covid-19 Appeal

Coronavirus Appeal

The Salvation Army works with some of the most vulnerable people in society. As we face the worst public health crisis in our lifetime, people on the margins need us now more than ever. From running food banks and checking up on people who live alone, to offering counselling and supporting NHS isolation units, Salvation Army churches all over the country are responding to the crisis in dozens of different ways.

Please visit the Horden JustGiving page and donate what you can. Help us support as many people as possible.
