Glasgow City Centre

Our Prayer Space is open every day that the church centre is open.  Please take the opportunity to use this space or alternatively send your prayer requests to glasgow.city@salvationarmy.org.uk.

As a corps we are committed to working as one Salvation Army alongside other expressions of our movements ministry.  Locally this is through support to the Glasgow Lifehouses (hostels) and also working with our local charity shop including weekly chaplaincy.

Do you want to give something back to help others?

We offer opportunities for volunteering in the following areas:

Cafe and kitchen Staff: Being available to support and pray with the public, waiting on tables, serving customers, preparing food and washing up.

Grounds Staff: Grass cutting, maintaining our green spaces, litter picking and general maintenance of our outside spaces.

Employment Plus is a service that is designed to assist anyone wishing to find a route to work, but especially for those who may be experiencing barriers at any given time. This might include things such as language difficulties, benefit concerns, lack of IT skills or resource or lack of local knowledge. 

We are currently undergoing a community consultation in order to ascertain if there are specific concerns or needs that hinder employment opportunities. From this we will aim to design a relevant service that can help with these specific issues.
