Story and just-giving link

The Salvation Army in Ebbsfleet will very soon be mobile!  The specially adapted vehicle designed to offer opportunities for the communities of Ebbsfleet, Northfleet and Swanscombe to share, connect and support each other is well on the way and should be here in early 2026!

It will be a  “welcoming environment” used for health and wellbeing activities; children and  youth engagement and  inter-generational events that will see families and communities come together.

Pioneer leader, Louise Finch, said: “We are thrilled to be taking this significant step. This is a fast-developing area, and we want to meet people where they are, offering friendship, support, and practical help.  This will enable us to respond flexibly to the needs of this growing community and break down barriers - that is the beauty of what we are trying to achieve.

The Salvation Army in Ebbsfleet want to say a tremendous thank you to all the local community organisations and groups,  for their donations and fundraising efforts towards the cost of the vehicle.”

The project is backed by Ebbsfleet Development Corporation (EDC), the planning body tasked with driving forward plans for up to 15,000 homes, and Dartford council as they aim to strengthen local connections.

EDC’s Chief Executive Officer, Ian Piper, said: “We are pleased to have provided funding support for this initiative, which will create additional community and meeting space for residents in Ebbsfleet and the surrounding areas.

Watch this space and look out for further developments and ways in which the community can join in!
