Our Teddy Club

Welcome to Teddy Club!

Teddy Club babies and toddler group is at Crook Salvation Army Hall every Wednesday and Thursday (term-time) from 1pm - 3pm.

Teddy Club's aim is make you feel as welcome as possible. We also hope that your babies and toddlers have fun whilst they are here. Our Teddy Club Leader Hazel Reeve and her team have many years of experience running the successful group.

NEW*** There is a special baby area in the main hall, to allow parents to keep babies safely away from the excited toddlers and their ride-ons!

NEW*** Baby changing facilities are available in the disabled toilet in the main hallway. Nappy bags and wipes are provided, but please make sure that all dirty nappies are put in nappy bags and placed in the bin outside of the disabled toilets.

NEW*** Baby song is incorporated into our Thursday Teddy Club. This is a great opportunity to enjoy music with your babies and toddlers. Refreshments are served, and we provide biscuits for snacks.

Registration

We do ask for your name and telephone number when you register. This is so we can contact you if the group is cancelled for any reason. In compliance with data protection, please be assured that your details will not be passed to any other organisation. There is a fee of £1 per family per session. We run a safe and sound policy which can be explained by any of our volunteers.

We hope you have a fantastic time at Teddy Club!

Our Youth Activities

Children and young people

It is important to us that children and young people feel comfortable and enjoy coming to The Salvation Army in Crook. On Sundays at 4:30pm, young people are encouraged to take part in the service, and there is a game or an activity they can do during the meeting. We want to make the Salvation Army a place where parents, grandparents and carers feel relaxed about bringing their children and where young people feel welcome.

Youth Drop-in

Our popular Youth drop-in takes place on Monday evening from 5pm and is for young poeple ages 12-17.

Sunday Club

Are your children bored on a Sunday morning? Sunday Club takes place from 11-12noon on Sunday morning. All children are welcome to attend, even if their parents or guardians do not attend The Salvation Army, and there are opportunities for games, crafts and activities. Sessions cost only 30p per child and include a drink and biscuit. Come along and have fun.

Kids Club

The Salvation Army has a kids club on Thursdays from 6-7:30pm. This is a great opportunity for young people aged between 5-12 years of age to come together, take part in activities, stories and crafts.

Schools Programme

We run school assemblies and have a programme in place for School Groups that wish to visit. We do not charge for this facility.

Holiday Clubs

We regularly hold holiday clubs at our hall for children aged 5-12 years and can usually cater for up to 30 children. Holiday clubs are normally held at Easter and during the Summer Holidays, and include fun games and activities.
