Luton Salvation Army Debt Advice Service has been supporting the local community for 18 years.
We offer Free, Confidential and Impartial Debt Advice.
Our team will work with you and your creditors to provide a realistic budget and we will provide you with information on the possible debt options which may be available to you.
Our Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday each between 9:30am – 2:30pm. We can offer face to face appointments on a Tuesday and telephone appointments on our other days.

Client Story:
I first came to Luton Salvation Army by accessing the weekly coffee drop-in sessions.
On one particular morning when I came in, I mentioned a homeless person I had just walked past, and I felt bad about feeling low when my lot wasn't as bad as their's. You made me feel my life was as important by stopping me and saying, ' no, how are you'?
I felt very ashamed, embarrassed and at times so low that I contemplated very dark thoughts and at many times I had lost all hope of finding a way of clearing my outstanding debts.
The debt team worked closely with me to find the right debt solution for me.
I had given up my flat and I was sofa surfing – sleeping on friend’s sofa’s until I felt that I had perhaps stayed too long. I struggled with the worry of not being able to pay my way, even though my friends and my family just wanted to help me.
After many months of negotiations with the creditors by the debt team I am pleased to say that creditors accepted offers of settlement, and then they wrote off the remaining balances.
So, after a very long three years, I was debt free!
