We are a diverse Fellowship with many links to other partner organisations.  We are available from 10.00am until 2.00pm each day at our Salt Lane Community Church and Hub to receive your enquiries and give community support and care to those in need.

Christmas Gift Appeal 2025

Once again we are delighted to organise a Christmas Gift Appeal in partnership with our colleagues at Wiltshire Social Services, Health and Family Visitors and Housing Welfare Officers.  The aim of the appeal is to provide Christmas gifts for challenged families who are known to Wiltshire Council Social Care Services to be in particular need.  New and unwrapped gifts can be left at The Salvation Army on Salt Lane on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturdays from 10.00am until 1.00pm from now until Wednesday 17th December which will be the final day for sorting out the presents to be delivered by the social services staff.  Alternatively, a cash gift can be made for the charity to choose an appropriate gift, especially for teenagers who can be the hardest age group to source appropriate presents.  The appeal has run for many years in Salisbury and also covers people living alone so gifts of biscuits and sweets are welcomed to make Christmas special.

Christmas Messy Church - Saturday 13th December - 2.00pm - 4.00pm

We will be holding another Messy Church which will include Nativity themed crafts, Make a Snowman Competition, Pop up ‘come as you are’ Nativity Play, Christmas songs, Christmas Card Making Competition, Christmas refreshments.  Free entry.  Please see poster below for full details.

Carol Playing in the City

Our band will be bringing some Christmas cheer by playing carols in Salisbury City centre between 10.00am and 2.00pm on the following dates:-

Saturday 13th December 

Saturday 20th December 

Carol Service - Sunday 21st December - 2.00pm

We will be holding a community carol service at our hall in Salt Lane which will include a children’s ‘come as you are’ Nativity play and will be followed by refreshments.

Sunday Service Time - 10.00am

You are very welcome to join with us.

Children’s Church 

We hold a 21st century Sunday School every Sunday at 10.00am. Children and parents are most welcome to share with us in a safe setting making new friends and learning Christian values.

Parent Pit Stop

We have re-launched Parent Pit Stop - an oasis for parents and little ones - each Monday from 10.00am until 11.30am during term time.  You are most welcome to come and share together.  No booking is required.

Friendship Circle 

Each Monday we gather at 2.00pm for a time of fellowship together with refreshments and a variety of talks or quizzes or crafts to stimulate conversation.  More details are on the poster below.  Please come and give us a try!

Charity Shop

Our Shop is now open Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday from 10.00am until 1.00pm.  Volunteers are required for our shop - full training and support will be given.  Please ring or email us for details of acceptable donations.

Re-Cycles

We offer pre-loved bikes of all types from our Salisbury Salvation Army forecourt on Salt Lane.  We are open from Thursday to Saturday 10.00am until 3.00pm to view or test ride one of our bikes from our selection of 20 models.  Pre-loved bikes in good condition are always welcome for our volunteers to check over and be sold to raise funds for the Salvation Army work in Salisbury.  Pictures of our bikes can be found on our Facebook page Salisbury Salvation Army.
