Publications

The Salvation Army’s Music Editorial team oversees the publication of around 80 titles through the band and vocal journals. We are blessed to have so many gifted and dedicated composers and arrangers within our movement who contribute freely to our publications.

Historically, The Salvation Army has been recognised as one of the leading publishers of Christian music for many years. We focus on our traditional brass band and vocal music to reflect the demands of The Salvation Army.

Our music publications by The Salvation Army Trading Company are of an extremely high quality and cater for a wide range of abilities.

These books are available for both Eb and Bb instruments and come with CD backing tracks.

Vocal

Sing to the Lord

Mixed voice series

Songs for SATB choir with demonstration/accompaniment CD. Three issues per year.

Sing to the Lord (Children's)

Songs for children’s choir with demonstration/accompaniment CD. One issue per year.

Grace

New styles of worshipping and praising together will always come into being beacuse of the gift of creativity and through our emerging generations who cannot help but reflect their own age and understanding; but perhaps, more importantly, beacuse God requires it of us. This new project offers songs written by composers and lyricists who are part of, or committed friends of, The Salvation Army. Worship bands are increasingly becoming a part of our music offering and in response to that, 'Grace' has come to life.

Concert Band

Tradewinds

The increasing popularity of Salvation Army repertoire in the wider musical world has been an exciting development. The Tradewinds brand offers an ever-growing selection of Salvation Army band music that has been faithfully transcribed for concert band. Six titles per year.

Miscellaneous

Supplementing our mainstream publications programme are albums of instrumental and vocal solos as well as individual piano accompaniments for instrumental solos that have previously been published with band accompaniment. These have proved popular both within The Salvation Army and beyond, including items from this repertoire in various grade and diploma exam syllabi.

Occasional releases of various items such as the 'SA Classics for Small Bands' and 'World Class Marches' are released as they become available.
