Devon and Cornwall residents can come and join a weekend of family-friendly activities at the Royal Cornwall Showground in Wadebridge on Saturday 30 June.

‘Fiesta 2018 – Sharing the Love’ is part of a weekend of celebration being organised by The Salvation Army’s Devon and Cornwall Division.  It will include toddlers and children’s parties, bouncy castle, face painting, a family sports session, ‘knit and natter’ creative arts, indoor bowls and skittles.

There will be opportunity to be part of a community brass band (bring your instrument and a music stand) and be part of a community choir. Sport lovers can take part in 4-a-side football and volleyball tournaments. The day will end with a family film screening and camp fire.

There will also be an opportunity to find out more about The Salvation Army’s work in the region and to hear about how we are working to tackle human trafficking.

“I’d like to invite the people of Devon and Cornwall to come and join us for a fun-filled day of celebration! We’ve put together a busy programme so that there’s something for families and people of all ages to enjoy”, said Major Stephen White, Divisional Commander of The Salvation Army in Devon and Cornwall.

The Salvation Army will be holding worship services at the Showground on Sunday 1 July at 10.30am and 2.30pm to which everyone is invited.

Entry to the fiesta is free but members of the public are welcome to make a donation to The Salvation Army.

From Barnstaple to Newquay; from Exmouth to Falmouth; and from Ifracombe to Penzance, The Salvation Army has churches and centres serving communities across Devon and Cornwall.
