New for this year is a discipleship series focusing on Six rhythms in the journey with Jesus. This explores Jesus as the model of discipleship and what can be learnt from him. The series can be used at any point throughout the year in the way that is most relevant for your setting, through your whole corps worship and/or individual group meetings.
Please download resources including sermon outlines, prayer ideas, small group material, interactive worship ideas, children and youth session and drama options based on the following themes:
'Putting first' (prioritising) - Jesus demonstrates obedience and priority in spending time in prayer with his Father, teaching us to do the same.
'Letting go' (sacrificing) - Jesus calls people to give up the things that are most dear to them to follow him.
'Opening up' (including) - Jesus demonstrates the importance of quality over quantity. He takes time to be with an individual or a small group.
'Getting together' (gathering) - Jesus gathered his disciples to teach and share with them in meals, equipping them, through this, to do his work after he left.
'Acting out' - Jesus’ actions of servant leadership model the servanthood aspect of discipleship.
'Speaking up' (practising)' (testifying) - Jesus breaks the religious, social and cultural conventions of his time to speak out on behalf of others.
