This winter we want to reach out to people who are lonely by bringing friendship and joy into their lives.
The past 20 months have been particularly isolating for thousands of older people living alone across the UK.
This winter, with the support of generous people like you, The Salvation Army will be there for lonely older people. We will be providing friendship and a hot meal to those in need. We will do all we can this winter for the older people in our communities who have never felt as lonely as they do now.
Please support our Winter Appeal so we can provide friendship and a hot meal to lonely older people this winter.
A gift of:
- £19 could help provide a box of groceries and modest gifts, so that families who are struggling in poverty can share a meal together.
- £45 could provide an hour of one-to-one support work for five homeless people in one of our centres to help them get back on their feet and make a fresh start.
- £114 could meet the cost of an officer to run a Salvation Army centre for three days - to provide essentials for vulnerable people.
