Statement: Why Paul O'Grady?

Paul O’Grady is a long-time supporter of The Salvation Army. He has seen our work helping vulnerable people in a number of settings: while he was working as a social worker in London, with AIDS victims in the 1980s, and as a child in Birkenhead.  

Paul, who is an influential and high profile television presenter, approached us to make this programme. 

Paul O’Grady: The Sally Army and Me is the culmination of a lifelong interest in The Salvation Army.
