Salvation Army tribute on Archbishop Desmond Tutu's passing

Commissioner Anthony Cotterill, Territorial Commander of The Salvation Army in the United Kingdom and Ireland, said:

“The Salvation Army in the United Kingdom and Ireland mourn the passing of Archbishop Desmond Tutu and send our sympathy and assurance of prayers to Mrs Nomalizo Leah Tutu, all the family and the people of South Africa.

"The world has lost a great moral force, a passionate advocate for poor and marginalised people and an exemplary Christian leader. His words and example live on and should inspire us.”
