In our Prayers

The Salvation Army online In Memory Book

In Our Prayers, our online Book of Remembrance, is The Salvation Army’s way of remembering and honouring the people who have made our work possible through their compassion and generosity.

This includes people who have donated to our work during their lifetimes, and also those who have left us gifts in their Wills.

At the same time, we want this unique Book to be a space where bereaved families can keep and share their most cherished memories of the person they have lost.

If you are mourning someone close to you, we warmly invite you to use this Book to celebrate the life of your loved one, by posting your thoughts, your prayers, maybe poetry or words of Scripture, and of course the pictures that are precious to you.

When you use the Book, we invite you to make a donation in memory of the person you have lost, to help us continue our work of caring for homeless, hungry and lonely people. It is a wonderful way to celebrate a life. However, there is no obligation for you to do so. Our chief reward is in knowing we have helped to bring consolation to people who are going through a sad and difficult time of their lives.

We are so glad that you have turned to us at this difficult time. If you think The Salvation Army could help support you during this time of bereavement, please email and we will be happy to arrange for a Salvation Army officer to contact you.
