Love in a time of crisis

Donate now

Over the last year, ‘loving your neighbour’ became even more important than anyone could have imagined.

It was only a few weeks into 2020 when the coronavirus pandemic plunged the whole world into chaos, bringing widespread poverty and uncertainty as the economy plunged. Suddenly we found ourselves at the ‘front line’ of the biggest crisis this country has faced since the Second World War.

We saw lives turned upside down, jobs lost, families going hungry and older people left isolated as a result of the lockdown. Despite the enormity of the challenge, The Salvation Army ‘rolled up its sleeves’ and did everything possible to help the people worst affected.
