Two personalisation pilots have been carried out, looking at the different tools available and how these fit with the current needs assessment systems. The pilot in Kings Ripton Court was the first to be inspected by IQI, which gave an independent view on the usefulness of the tools and the success of personalisation tools.
The inspector reported:
"Recent staff training in personalisation has been well implemented. The new strategy has enhanced the quality of support, whilst simultaneously developing a positive framework to facilitate personal development where clients have existing skills. From reading the client files it was possible to easily and very quickly understand who the client was, how far they had developed, and where they were hopefully heading." This is a resounding affirmation of the work done by the centre.
