The School for In-Service Training and Development (SISTAD)

The School for In-Service Training and Development (SISTAD) presents a wide variety of courses and skill-enhancing programmes for officers and employees.

Each academic year more than 1000 people take advantage of the learning and development opportunities presented to them through SISTAD. This includes everything from 1 day courses on personnel management to diploma and degree courses.

The SISTAD team includes people who have experience in social services, corps officership, learning and development and administration.

Our courses are designed to address the learning needs of officers and employees in a variety of settings; a number are role-specific but you’ll see in the course descriptions that many are open to all.

A Learning and Development Officer (based within SISTAD but covering specific regions of the Territory) will be able to help, in conjunction with your line manager, to identify the most suitable courses for you.

Each application for a place on a SISTAD course is considered carefully.
