Information we need

If The Salvation Army is named in a Will you are administrating, it would be helpful if you could send a copy of the Will or clause which refers to us.

Helpful information

When acting as an Executor of an estate, you may come across the following:

Schedule of Assets and Liabilities

  • This is usually prepared by the Executor at the start of the estate administration and lists the deceased person’s possessions and finances along with any debts or responsibilities they had.

Estate (and Executry) accounts

  • This is prepared by the Executor at the end of the estate administration. It shows the total funds received and paid out during the administration of the estate.

If The Salvation Army is named as Executor

We will need a copy of the Will as soon as possible so we can ensure that the estate is protected and administered efficiently.

How to pay a legacy gift to us

It is not possible to make a legacy payment online, but we do accept payments by cheque made payable to The Salvation Army, please send cheques to the following address:

Legacy Unit
The Salvation Army Territorial Headquarters
1 Champion Park
London
SE5 8FJ

If you would prefer to pay by bank transfer, please contact us and we can advise of the best way to proceed.

If you need any further information or would like to speak to someone about being an Executor, please contact the Legacy Team on  0207 367 4656 or email legacies@salvationarmy.org.uk.
