Practical support

  • Shopping

  • Picking up ‘pensions’

  • Picking up ‘prescriptions’

  • Help with Bill payment

  • Assistance with Correspondence

  • Being a friend

  • Keeping a watchful eye on any deterioration in health/behaviour

  • Offering a kindly listening ear

  • Liaise with Social Services and family members as and when required

Spiritual Support

  • Chaplaincy visitation: in the Home/Hospital

  • Support as required to extended family (especially during illness or bereavements)

  • Monthly News Letter  ‘The Provider’

  • Giving of ‘Birthday Cards’ and at ‘Easter and Christmas’; containing words of comfort and encouragement

  • Developing a workplace team that helps service users feel a sense of value in their lives.

  • Offering a kindly listening ear
