The Dept of Works and Pensions [from the One Stop Shop in Bath] in partnership with local agencies are using Sally Ann's Café on the second Wednesday of every month, 2.30pm - 4.30pm, as a venue for advice, chat and other services...or for people simply to go in, have a sit down and a rest.
Other agencies involved are Clean Slate, Bath Mind and enactus Bath (from Bath Spa Uni).
There's live music from a guest musician each month.
Bath Mind offer a 1-2-1 chat about any matters relating to mental health, and there's an off-shoot of the Friends in Need group.
Three B's: Check your benefit entitlement with Clean Slate, see how you can 'future-proof' your finances, and discover other ways in which they can help you.
Clean Slate also have advisers on hand to chat with those thinking of returning to work, and as partners with Reach Housing Advice they can arrange for any support you need with housing issues.
Disability Employment Advisers will be able to answer questions relating to existing and new benefit claims, Universal Credit procedures and anything that might help you improve your quality of life.
And having a chat with Uni Students might help those with a yearning to try some art work...or for other skills they could share with you.
So there's much on offer...as well as having a sit down, perhaps getting some tea or coffee - and watching the world go by!
