The world's income is incredibly skewed towards the rich few and away from the majority.

The poorest in our world, that's 1.4 billion people, live on less than $1.25 a day - about 80 pence.

Imagine having just 80 pence to cover all your food, water, clothing, children's education, healthcare and anything else that you need to provide for yourself and your family. No matter where you live, 80 pence doesn't get you very far. That means that these 1.4 billion hardworking people living in extreme poverty are being held back due to a lack of opportunities, support and investment. We need to shift the balance. Investing in this impoverished generation will see them transform into a generation of hopeful, empowered people who are able to stand tall, with their heads held high, having lifted them, their families and communities out of poverty.
