Christmas resources for Schools

From 17 November until 16 December, please support our Christmas Present Appeal by donating new unwrapped toys and gifts for children, families, older people and homeless people in need this Christmas.

The gifts will be then be wrapped and distributed to those in need across the nation.

How it works:

1. Contact your local Salvation Army centre to see how you can make a donation to them and the type of gifts that are needed. Details of local churches/centres can be found here.

2. You can also start a collection at your work, school, in your street, among your friends, and encourage others to bring in gifts for our Christmas Present Appeal.

3. Salvation Army churches and communities all over the UK make arrangements with local shops and outlets where people can deliver their new gifts for the Christmas Present Appeal. Look out for Christmas Present Appeal posters indicating that a store is a ‘drop off’ point.

4. Our volunteers will then collect and wrap the gifts and then distribute them to those in need via The Salvation Army’s own local networks, through local groups, charities and social services to benefit as many children, families, older people and homeless people as possible. All gifts will be distributed without discrimination or prejudice.
