How would you like to challenge yourself both physically and mentally on the trip of a lifetime, all whilst raising funds for The Salvation Army?
Whether you have a personal connection with The Salvation Army or whether you just believe in the good work that we do, joining our ‘Extreme Team’ of like-minded individuals as we trek through jaw-dropping mountain scenery, lush cloud-forest and sub-tropical jungle to discover the lost City of the Inca’s will be a truly unforgettable experience.
You will spend two days assisting on a local community development project in Cusco before setting off on the 4 day Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu. There will also be time to explore the cities of Lima and Cusco before and after the trek. The total duration is 10 days (9 nights).
Peru is the third largest country in South America and is five times larger than the UK. The awe-inspiring Inca ruins site of Machu Picchu is one of the new Seven Wonders of the World and reaching site at a height of 2,380m and first setting eyes on the scene is one of the most tremendous and exhilarating feelings you will ever experience.
