ROOTS is an all-age family event whose aim is to inspire spiritual renewal, effective mission and a pioneering spirit.  ROOTS is going regional starting in Edinburgh on the 14 and 15 April.  Our theme is 'Changing Minds' and we'll be exploring the challenge of social justice.  Our key note speaker is General Linda Bond, with guest speaker Joel Edwards, and worship leader Lou Fellingham. The theme of this years event ‘Changing Minds’ will focus on the challenge of social justice. The Salvation Army is called to be involved in the healing of a hurting world, a prophetic witness in the face of social injustice. ROOTS will explore what this means in practice. Not content with just dealing with the consequences of social injustice the event will ask how we can actively tackle the causes, to engage, to struggle for change, and seek to improve our communities.

Recognising the need to change our minds about how we respond to injustice the event will look wider, to see how we can change the minds of those within the broader society on issues of social justice, to explore ways of advocating for those marginalised by the structures of society.

Whether a member or friend of The Salvation Army, or someone with no connection but a passion for social justice, you are invited to attend for an exciting challenging weekend.
