The London to Brighton Cycle Ride is an unforgettable 54 mile adventure taking you on a beautiful journey through the South's most spectacular landscapes, which makes this an ideal challenge for any keen cyclist! 

Become a Sally Army champion and join our fabulous team embarking on this challenge to help support those most vulnerable in our communities. Funds raised through your incredible efforts can go towards any Salvation Army project or Salvation Army Church close to your heart.

How you’ll be supported on this event:

Our dedicated team will support you every step of the way. We’ll make sure you feel as prepared as possible and provide you with:

  • A breathable Salvation Army cycling jersey
  • Fundraising pack crammed full of ideas
  • Training plans

The event organisers (Skyline) will also provide:

  • Free buffet lunch - this takes place at 29 miles in the picturesque village of Turners Hill
  • Water stops - at 21 miles in the morning and 45 miles at the top of Ditchling Beacon
  • Full mechanical support
  • Bike and coach transport back to London at a small extra cost
  • The coveted "London to Brighton Cycle Ride" Medal!

The route:

Once out of London you will predominantly cycle along quiet lanes passing through Mitcham, Carshalton, Chipstead, Banstead and Haywards Heath before taking on the challenge that is Ditchling Beacon - a mile long climb to the top of the South Downs where you will be rewarded with amazing views and a water break! From there it's downhill for the last few miles onto Brighton sea front!

You must be at least 14 years old to participate in this event (children 14-16 years old must be accompanied by a participating adult on the ride and will need to complete and return a consent form before they are registered to take part).
